Siam Village Thai Restaurant is a family business managed by Khemporn. We have operated Thai restaurants in Melbourne's eastern suburbs for over twenty years. Khemporn's eldest sons Theerawat and Theerayuth are chefs, son Nick and daugher Joanna are waiting staff and husband Jim is the delivery guy. We are also pleased to have our 'extended family' of staff including Pattie, Ja Ja, Bee and Asuka.
Fresh. We emphsise fresh ingredients and hand-crafted food. We have our own organic herb garden where we grow chilli, lemongrass, corriander, lime leaves and other spices. We make our own entrees by hand every day. We even make our own satay sauce, sweet chilli sauce and chilli oil.
Service. We are a full service restaurant that seats over 80 people. We are licensed and BYO. The upstairs VIP room can seat up to 30 people for quieter, private group dining.
Allergy Information. There is no gluten in any of our main dishes (curry, stiry fry, BBQ, soups & salads). However the entrées are made with pastry that contains gluten (for example spring rolls, currry puffs and roti bread). Also, nuts and seafood are used frequently in all Thai cuisine. We have a wide range of alternate dishes but please be aware they are prepared in the same kitchen, so they may have traces of nuts or seafood.
Ask us. We like a challenge. If you must avoid certain ingredients we’ll do our best to come up with a dish that tastes great. We’re sorry but we can’t always do complex off-menu dishes at our busiest times on Friday and Saturday nights. Most of our staff are from a non-english speaking background. To avoid confusion, if you have specific needs please ask to speak to Khemporn directly.
